Old poems
In old poems we write short texts on authors or poems which were forgotten. We try to point to their particularities and explain the reasons why we think they are worthy of attention. Focusing one’s attention on the poem allows us to better memorize it, which might be important in certain occasions in life. For example, reading Bernardim Ribeiro’s “Between myself and I” might prevent you from going to the psychiatrist, you might suggest Kudo Naoko’s “Lion of Philosophy” to those who don’t know what philosophy is, and if you have a misbehaving child you will probably want to read Thomas Housman’s “Infant Innocence”.
